Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate have named their new-born baby boy, George Alexander Louis, William's office said on Wednesday.
The baby, born on Monday, is Britain's third-in-line to the throne.
Kate gave birth to a baby boy weighing 8 lbs 6 oz (3.8 kg), announced officially via a notice pinned to an easel outside of Buckingham Palace.
Kate carried the future monarch outside St Mary's Hospital in central London on Tuesday so he could be photographed by the waiting press.
The photos are likely to be reprinted for decades as the baby grows into adulthood and his role as a future king.
The young family is expected to head to an apartment at Kensington Palace.
